Draw my picture!

| How long does it take to draw a picture? | |
| Generally one to two weeks. Of course this may vary some depending on the complexity of the drawing. If you need a job rushed just let me know I'm sure we can work something out. If I'm loaded with work (especially around the Christmas Season) it could take up to six weeks, but I will let you know when you place the order. | |
| Can you do collages of multiple poeple from different photos? | |
| Yes! You can find any number of different animals, people, buildings, etc. and I can mix them together into a composition for your approval. See the portrait photo tips page for more information on collages and locating good portrait photos. | |
| What materials do you use? | |
| My drawings are all created with 2-6B fine drawing pencils on high quality smooth 100lb Bristol board. This is a heavyweight paper that will last a lifetime. The finished drawings are then sprayed with Krylon© Workable fixative to prevent the graphite from smearing and resist aging. | |
| Do you frame the drawings? | |
| I have some options available but they are not yet listed on my website, if you are interested please let me know. | |
| How do you pronounce your Website name? | |
| Several poeple have asked me about this. I realize it is a little confusing. The name should sound something like "E-3-N" rolling off your tongue as a smooth three syllabic word. | |
| Are these hand drawings or do you use a computer? | |
| These drawings are all done by hand with all the love I have for drawing put into them. There are many websites that offer cheap, fake, "paintings" and "drawings" that are no more than photographs with quick filters placed over them. If this is what you are looking for you won't find it at ethrian.com. | |

| How do you do the "Watercolorized Painted Pencil" Portraits? | |
| I developed a technique that results in the colorized examples you see in my portfolio. First the portrait is drawn on paper with pencil just as my other portraits. The finished drawing is then scanned into the computer and carefully painted with a digital tablet and stylus, the portrait is then printed on special archival quality paper and inks created to last nearly a century or more. The finished product is a delicately colored pencil drawn picture very much like a true watercolor painting (Check out the portfolio for examples). | |
